I'm sure alot of you have seen it. Discuss your opinions on the book/movie.

Let's keep this a spoiler-free zone for those who know nothing of either or don't want to know the ending

I personally thought the movie was fucking awesome. My only complaint is that there was no pirate story in it, but as I hear from my friend's movie buff brother, that will be in the director's cut. So no real complaints from me.

It's not even showing yet.

I really don't get much about the Comedian though. What does he do?

I personally loved the movie, and it certainly stayed true to the book. I felt more of a vibe of insanity coming from Rorschach than I did from the Joker, to be honest. My favorite line from him is my signature. Whoever played Dr. Manhattan did an excellent job acting and speaking without emotion. The blue dick flopping around I could've done without, though.

The Comedian is one of the Watchman, Decemberian. The difference is that he doesn't stick to their 'heroic' rules. He kills without reason, and to him, it's all a joke, down to his last breath.

Lots of gore in the movie, too. When Manhattan blows up those three mobsters and their cadavers fly up and stick to the ceiling, and also when they sand off that fat guy's arms.

I'm not sure if those could be judged as spoilers, I hope not. Rorschach is my favorite, because of his psychological pursuit, and of course his mask with the shifting inkblot, it all fits his disturbed past.

All in all, I loved the movie, and don't understand how some people were disappointed.

I'm amazed that Zack Snyder didn't put much slow motion or homo-eroticism in there (other than Dr. Manhattan's dong flapping about for the whole movie).

He never put much slow-motion in 300, people just focused on that for some reason.

The slow-motion towards the end of this movie, without giving anything away, is gorgeous
